Kia ora and thanks for considering me for your supervision needs.
As an experienced social worker I have seen the huge benefits of great supervision, and the limits when it is below standard. Supervision allows us to enhance our professional development, ensure ethical practice, plan our self-care and ultimately enhances the experiences of those we work with.
I take a collaborative approach to supervision, built on a trusting relationship and supporting you to reflect and organically reach your own conclusions. My approach to supervision mirrors my approach to counselling. Deeply rooted in a holistic viewpoint, in line with te ao Māori, with the objective of empowering and inspiring my supervisee. I have created a unique model of supervision RESPOND, to help structure our mahi together, and to equip you with a tool that you can use in your day to day work.
I will challenge your thinking, make you examine the origins of your perspective and ensure you are filling your own cup.
My experience is predominantly in the NGO space as a social worker and leader, working with tamariki, rangatahi and whanau. I am a fierce ally of the LGBTQI+ community and although I am Pākeha, I have a strong commitment to Te Tiriti and tikanga Māori.
I am comfortable offering supervision to social workers, social service kaimahi, youth workers and more.
My areas of expertise include:
Care & Protection
Tamariki, Rangatahi and Families
Community Services
Education
Neurodiversity
Family Violence
Family Courts
Poverty & Economic Justice
Sexual Assault
Relationships
Mental Health
I am based in Lower Hutt, Wellington, however I am currently offering supervision online only, to allow for maximum flexibility.
I can flexibly meet your requirements, and be available most days or times that work best for you.
